Care Instructions

We want you to love your pieces and hope that you will take them with you on all life’s adventures. We work hard to create your jewelry with every day in mind and do our best to ensure it is made with the highest quality and materials possible.

As with any plated jewelry, the plating can start to fade over time. Following these care instructions will help in ensuring the life of your piece so they can be treasured for years to come.

To decrease the chances of fading and to keep the luster of your precious gems:

  • Avoid applying hand sanitizer, sprays, perfume and lotions directly on your jewelry.
  • Avoid wearing your jewelry while exercising, swimming, or any strenuous activities that might cause damage to it.
  • Lightly clean with a soft cloth, warm water and a touch of mild soap if needed. Be sure to avoid all harsh, abrasive chemicals and cleaners.

WILL THE PLATING WEAR OFF?

As with any plated jewelry, the plating can start to fade over time. We plate with the thickest plating possible and seal each piece twice to ensure it will last as long as possible. We use a barrier in between the copper and gold so that the copper never has the chance to push through the gold layer. If for any reason the plating starts to wear or fade, please contact us and we can coordinate sending it back and we can plate it again and reseal it.

WILL THE COPPER RINGS TURN MY SKIN GREEN?

No. The core of our rings are formed with copper and plated in the thickest plating possible in gold, rose gold or rhodium. There is a barrier (nickel free) between the copper and final plating metal, then the pieces are sealed twice with a topcoat. The chances of you “wearing through” all the layers to the raw copper are slim. Again, taking care of your pieces to support the life of the metal will also help avoid any worry of this. If you do have any concerns, please feel free to contact us!
